Summer Intensive Teen Pottery Camp Explore the art and craft of clay in this week-long, 3-hour-per-day hybrid handbuilding and wheel-throwing program designed for teens. Each day, participants rotate between handbuilding projects—including coil pots, slab tiles, and sculptural forms—and wheel throwing, learning to center, pull walls, and shape bowls, cylinders, and mugs. Off-wheel stations provide opportunities to refine techniques, experiment with textures, and sketch design ideas. Campers personalize their creations with handles, lids, attachments, and decorative carving, developing technical skills, creative problem-solving, and personal style in a supportive studio environment. Guided demos, group discussions, and reflection periods help teens track their progress and share inspiration. By the end of the summer, participants will have a collection of finished, fired, and glazed pieces.
